Wheel > Gimme Some Lovin > Morning Dew

This run at the Greek was terrific in that the performances were all spot-on, add to the mix Healy broadcasting the board mix via FM.

We all ran out and purchased portable FM radios and sat in the pit taping via antenna.

cool thanks. I enjoyed that morning dew and thought bobby's guitar sounds crazy. Some kind of really odd effects. Maybe thats the MIDI stuff everyone always complains about. At any rate its off to the bar for a cheap beer. Will listen to that dew again and let ya know how I really feel about it. Its no slouch after the first listen, but certainly not the best ever.

Koch, if you are going to lie at least have the decency to pick a show from the early days when most of us were not in attendance. This made me laugh so thanks for the early day chuckle. I remember it well...we all set our radio receivers up on our beer coolers...what a sight! Healy came down for a few cool one's. We BBQ'ed in our section also; my girlfriend brought the potato salad...

I also heard that the FCC came down on him. I think the main reason he did this was to mike the small hallway speakers that started showing up around this period. Ya know for the spinner crowd out there.

I'll just assume that you're unfamilair with the venue.

See the section in front of the stage, that is what we refer to as the "pit" at The Greek Theatre Berkeley.

I remember the '88 spring tour searching for the sounds, via FM. I saw the 1st 4 shows of the tour & found the FM for the last 2 Hampton shows.

I heard that The FCC finally came down on Healy for too strong a signal/unlicensed mobile FM broadcasting. Any evidence of truth to this?
